1 pkg Betty Crocker sugar cookie mix
⅓ cup all purpose flour
1 Tablespoon poppy seeds
cup butter softened
3 ounces cream cheese softened
2 teaspoons almond extract
1 egg
cup sliced almonds
1 cup powdered sugar
3 teaspoon water

Directions:
Directions:
Mix cookie mix, flour, poppy seeds, butter, cream cheese,
1 teaspoon almond flavoring, and egg in bowl.
Roll into 1 inch balls. Place ball onto ungreased cookie sheet 2 inches apart and flatten. On top of flattened cookie place 5 sliced almonds in the form of a star.
Bake at 350 for 9-11 minutes. Remove from cookie sheet and cool on rack.
Blend powdered sugar and 1 teaspoon of almond flavoring and water to make spreading consistency. (Thin glaze) Spread glaze over warm cookie. Store in tightly covered container at room temperature.
