1/2 Bag Chocolate Chips
1 Cup Sugar or Sugar Free Substitute
1/2 Cup Light Brown Sugar or Sugar Free Brown Sugar Substitute firmly packed
2 1/4 Cups Flour
2 Eggs
1Cup Shortening (Butter Flavor)
1Teaspoon Vanilla Extract
1 Teaspoon Baking Soda
1 Teaspoon Salt
1 Cup Chopped Nuts (optional)
Add another teaspoon vanilla if Sugar Free Substitute was used

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Mix sugar, brown sugar with shortening. Add eggs. Add flour, salt, baking soda, and vanilla. When all mixed together, add chocolate chips and nuts. Place 2-inches apart into greased baking sheet. Bake for 8 minutes or until done.. Remove when done and place on cooking rack.

If Sugar Free Substitute Sugar was used, cook on 325 Degrees.

This is a great recipe that one of my best friends made! Her name is Connie Mitchell. I added the Sugar Free Substitute and extra vanilla! They are good!!!
