2 c. flour
1 c. sugar
1 1/2 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. baking soda
1/4 c. shortening
1 c. chopped cranberries
1 tsp. orange rind
3/4 c. orange juice
1 egg well beaten
1 c. chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Combine peel, juice and egg. Add to dry ingredients (do not beat). Mix just to moisture. Fold in nuts and berries. Turn into greased pan and add topping. Bake at 350 for 60 minutes. Cool.

1/4 c. brown sugar
