Cream together:
⅓ c. butter (softened)
⅓ c. sugar

Add:
1¼ c. milk (I usually use whole)
1 egg

1 Tbs. baking powder
½ tsp. salt
1 c. cornmeal
1 c. flour

Bake at 400º in a pie pan or small square pan for 15 min, or until cooked all the way through.
