Mexican Cornbread Recipe

1 cup cornmeal
2 eggs
1 cup milk
t soda
1 t baking powder
pinch of salt
1 can cream style corn
cup bacon grease

lb ground meat
I medium inion, chopped
4 jalapeno peppers, chopped

Mix first group of ingredients and set aside.

Brown hamburger meat, onion, peppers and drain.

Grease large iron skillet or oven safe skillet. Pour batter in skillet, sprinkle 2 cups cheese evenly over batter, top with meat mixture. Pour remaining batter on top

Bake 45 to 50 minutes at 350.
