2 cups sugar
2 eggs
2 cups flour
2 tsp cinnamon
1/2 tsp salt
2 cups raisins (optional)
1 cube butter
5 cups peeled, grated apples
2 tsp baking soda
1 tsp nutmeg
2 tsp vanilla
1 cup chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Cream sugar and shortening. Add eggs and beat well. Stir in apples, dry ingredients, vanilla, raisins, and nuts. Grease or Pam well three foil pans provided. Divide batter evenly among the three pans and bake at 350 degrees for 35-40 minutes or until done (toothpick test). Let cool for a few minutes before covering and sealing with lid provided (or foil).
