The Crust
12 Graham Crackers - rolled fine
1 t flour
1/2 C shortening - part butter - melted
1/2 C sugar
1 t cinnamon

Custard Filling
3 egg yolks
1/4 cup sugar
1 t vanilla
2 C milk
2 T cornstarch

Meringue
3 egg whites
3 T of sugar

The Crust
Mix, as for pie- crust; take one half of mixture and pack in pie-pan

Custard Filling
Cook together until this mixture coats the spook. Pour into pie-pan

Meringue
Mix together. Spread on top of the custard

Sprinkle remaining cracker-crumb mixture over the top

Bake in a moderate oven 325 until meringue is brown

This was actually the top of a top that was stuck in Grandma recipe box. It is brown with aging and stained from cooking.

I would recommend that you use a beater or whisk to make the meringue and custard filling. The meringue should have stiff peaks
