1½ lb round steak, chuck roast, or flank
1 tsp liquid smoke
½ tsp pepper
¼ c soy sauce
½ tsp garlic powder
1 tsp onion powder
¼ c Worcestershire sauce

Directions:
Directions:
Freeze meat 1 hour. Trim off excess fat. Cut meat into ⅛-¼ inch slices, slicing with the grain of the meat. Mix ingredients and marinate meat in dish overnight. Dry meat strips on upper rack of oven. I use roaster of broiler pan to cover lower rack of oven with aluminum foil to catch drippings. Turn oven to lowest possible temperature setting. Crack oven door. Cook 5-12 hours depending on dryness desired.
