2 1/2 c. sifted flour
2 12 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. salt
1 c. shortening
2 1/4 c. (1 lb.) brown sugar
4 eggs
1 tsp. vanilla
1 (12 oz.) pkg. chocolate morsels
1 c. coarsely chopped nuts

Directions:
Directions:
Sift together flour, baking powder and salt. Melt shortening in saucepan. Add brown sugar to shortening. Blend well. Remove from heat. Cool 10 minutes. Add eggs one at a time, beat after each. Gradually add dry ingredients, mixing well. Spread evenly in well greased 10" x 15" pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 30 to 35 minutes. Cool. Cut into bars or squares.
