1 Tbsp. butter
½ cup chopped onion
½ cup chopped celery
(4) 14.5 oz. cans chicken broth (or equivalent amount made from bouillon)
(1) 14.5 oz. can vegetable broth (or equivalent amount made from bouillon)
½ lb. cooked chicken breast (or 1 - 2 cans of chicken if you are really in a hurry!)
1 ½ cups egg noodles
1 cup sliced carrots
½ tsp. dried basil
½ tsp. dried oregano
salt & pepper to taste

In a large pot over medium heat, melt butter. Cook onion and celery in butter until just tender (about 5 minutes). Pour in chicken and vegetable broths and stir in chicken, carrots, basil, oregano, salt & pepper. Bring to a boil, then reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes. In another pot, cook egg noodles according to package directions. Drain noodles and coat in a little bit of butter to prevent them from sticking until you are ready to use them. Serve soup in bowls over noodles.
