Ingredients:
Ingredients:
One cup brown sugar
1 cup butter
1 ½ sleeves saltine crackers
1 package semi-sweet chocolate chips
Ground almonds (optional)

Directions:
Directions:
Pre-heat the oven to 350º F.
Spray jelly roll pan with PAM or other cooking spray. Then, line the pan with tin foil so that it goes up over the edges and spray again.
Layer saltines on the cookie sheet in a single layer. You may need to break some in order to fill in the larger gaps.
Put 1 cup brown sugar and 1 cup butter in a sauce pan and heat. Continually stir until it starts to bubble/boil. Then, start the timer for 3 minutes. Continue to stir during the 3 minutes.
Pour butter and sugar mixture over the crackers and spread so it is evenly distributed.
Put the pan in the oven for 5 minutes and bake.
Take the pan out of the oven and immediately spread chocolate chips all over the crackers. Let it sit for about a minute so the chocolate chips start to melt. Then, spread the chocolate all over the crackers, trying to evenly spread it out.
If using ground almonds, sprinkle on top.
Put in the freezer for several hours or overnight.
Break the bark into smaller pieces and store in the fridge in a sealed container.

Personal Notes:
We first learned about this recipe when Erin was in elementary or middle school. We usually make it around Christmas time because if we made it all year long, we would eat way too much of it all year long! It's a favorite among family and friends.
