1 tsp. soda 1/2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. cinnamon 1 heaping tsp. ginger
2 C. whole wheat flour 4 or 5 C. white flour (use more flour if needed)

Mix together and set aside.
1 C. Sugar 3/4 C. oil or lard
1 C. molasses 1/2 C. hot water

Combine wet ingredients - rinse molasses out of measuring cup with hot water - and add 2 eggs.
Add dry ingredients to wet mixture and combine thoroughly. Refrigerate dough overnight. Roll out and cut with cookie cutter. Bake at 350 for 10 minutes.
