Cherry Bars Recipe

1 cup softened butter or margarine
1/2 cup powdered sugar
1/4 tsp salt
2 cups flour

Press evenly into 9 x 13 pan. Bake at 350 degrees for 15-20 minutes.
5 T maraschino cherry juice
24 well-drained cherries, chopped fine
1/4 cup flour
4 eggs
2 cup sugar

Blend until smooth and pour over baked crust. Bake at 325 degrees for 25 minutes. Cool.

To garnish: Melt 1/4 cup margarine and 2 ounce semi-sweet chocolate together. Spread over bars as a glaze or just sprinkle with powdered sugar.
