Cake:
3 eggs
2 c. sugar
c. oil
2 c. all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. ground cloves
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
1 tsp. salt
1 c. buttermilk
1 c. mashed figs
1 c. chopped nuts

Frosting:
c. butter or margarine
c. powdered sugar
tsp. vanilla extract
2 T. hot coffee

Cake:
Beat eggs, sugar and oil together. Sift together flour, baking soda, cloves, cinnamon and salt; add alternately with buttermilk. add mashed figs and nuts to mixture. Pour into a well-greased and floured 10 inch Bundt or tube cake pan. Bake at 350 for 1 hour, or until done.

Frosting:
Melt butter or margarine in a saucepan. Remove from heat. Add powered sugar, vanilla and hot coffee. Mix well; spread over cake while warm
