1 cup shortening (Crisco works best)
2 pounds powdered sugar
1 tsp vanilla, almond or mint flavoring
(For chocolate icing add 1/2 to 3/4 cups cocoa before adding water)

Directions:
Cream shortening with flour. Begin to add powdered sugar, alternate with water. Add flavoring. When all ingredients are combined, beat at a high speed until fluffy. If making chocolate icing, blend cocoa with 1 cup powdered sugar before adding.
