1 8 ounce package American Beauty Lasagna noodles, uncooked
2 T grated parmesan cheese
1 pound ground beef
2 cups spaghetti sauce
1 3/4 cup ricotta or cottage cheese
1 egg
2 tsp dried parsley flakes
salt and pepper to taste
2 cups grated mozzarella cheese

Cook pasta according to package directions; drain. Lay flat on foil to cook. Heat oven to 350 degrees. In large skillet, add meat; cook until brown. Drain. Stir in spaghetti sauce. In medium bowl, stir together ricotta or cottage cheese, 1 cup mozzarella, parmesan cheese, egg and seasonings. In 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking dish or pan, spread 1/2 cup meat sauce; place 3 pasta pieces length wise over sauce. Repeat layers of pasta, ricotta mixture and meat sauce. Top with remaining pasta, meat sauce and mozzarella cheese. Cover with foil. Bake 30 minutes; remove foil. Bake 15 minutes or until bubbly and hot. Let stand 10 minutes. This recipe can be cut in half and made in a 9 x 9 inch pan. This recipe is off of the American Beauty Lasagna Noodle box.
