Fettuccine Alfredo Recipe

1 lb fettuccine noodles
2 cloves minced garlic or more
1/2 stick butter
1 pint whipping cream (heavy or regular)
4 oz cream cheese (optional)
6 oz shredded parmesan cheese
2 tbsp. dried Italian herbs
1 tsp garlic salt
1 tsp pepper

Directions:
Directions:
Cook noodles according to package.In a large pan melt butter and add garlic. This should be done over medium heat. Do not burn garlic!
Pour in whipping cream and bring it to a simmer.
Add 1/2 of the shredded cheese and the cream cheese if you have chosen to use it.
Whisk consistently until smooth.
Then add the rest of the shredded cheese.
Add spices to taste.
Add noodles to sauce...do not rinse noodles.
Add pasta water if to thick.

I love this! I like a ribeye steak on the side and asparagus.
I also use thin spaghetti its my favorite noodle.
I have also used fresh herbs.
