Ingredients: Recipe will yield approximately 1 gallon punch mixture, which will be added to 4 qt. chilled ginger ale or lemon-lime drink (Sprite) (for total of about 2 gallons).
5 bananas 1 can 12 ounces frozen orange juice concentrate 1 can 6 ounces frozen lemonade concentrate 2 to 3 cups sugar 1 can 46 ounces of pineapple juice water
4 quarts ginger ale or lemon-lime drink (Sprite) chilled.

Directions:Mash bananas thoroughly and add slightly thawed frozen juices. Sprinkle sugar over mixture. Add pineapple juice, stirring well to dissolve the sugar.
Put into a gallon container and fill with water. Freeze to a slush. I found it easier to freeze in individual quart size zip lock bags.
When ready to serve, put mixture into a two-gallon punch bowl and add the lemon-lime drink, or ginger ale.
This punch base can be frozen indefinitely. Allow several hours for the mixture to reach the slush stage before serving. |
