1 can clams
1 cup onion, chopped small
2 cups potatoes, chopped
2 cups celery, chopped or sliced
Seperate clams from juice. Reserve clams until later. Combine juice with vegetables. Add water to cover and simmer 20 minutes or until tender.

1/4 cup butter
1/2 tsp salt
1/2 tsp sugar
3 T flour
dash of pepper
1 quart Half and Half

Directions:
Directions:
Cook first five ingredients together until a paste. Gradually add half-and-half and simmer until smooth and thick, stirring constantly. DO NOT BOIL. Add cooked, undrained vegetables and clams and serve.
