3 eggs, slightly beaten
1/4 cup milk
2 Tablespoons butter
8 thick slices egg bread
12 slices (8 oz) Cheddar cheese
1/2 Tablespoon chopped walnuts
4 teaspoons real bacon bits or 4 slices bacon, cooked and crumbled

Directions:
Directions:
In a shallow dish, combine eggs and milk, mixing well. Melt butter in large skillet or griddle over low heat.

Dip one side of four slices of the brad in the egg mixture, making sure it does not soak through. Place the four bread slices, coated side down, in skillet. Top each with three slices cheese and a sprinkling of walnuts and bacon. Dip one side of remaining four bread slices into egg mixture and place, coated side up, over the sandwiches in skillet. Cook for 4-5 minutes per side, or until golden and cheese is melted.
