2 c sugar
2 eggs
1 c oil
2 c pumpkin
½ tsp salt
1 tsp soda
2 tsp baking powder
2 tsp cinnamon
2 c flour
1 c nuts, optional

Icing:
3 oz cream cheese
¾ c marjorium
1¾ c powdered sugar
1 Tbsp milk
1 tsp vanilla

Directions:
Directions:
Mix together sugar, eggs, oil, pumpkin, salt, soda, powder, cinnamon, flour and nuts. Bake in a greased cookie sheet at 350º for 20-25 minutes. Once cool, mix icing ingredients together and place on top.

Mother always made Pumpkin Bars when we were growing up as she had pumpkins in the garden. The cream cheese icing makes this one of my favorite bar cookie recipes!
