1 cup brown sugar
3/4 cup boiling water
1 small piece of butter
1 Tbsp. cornstarch
4 medium peaches

1 cup flour
1/2 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. sugar
1 1/2 Tbsp. butter
1/2 cup milk (or enough to make a batter)

Preheat oven to 400.

Slice peaches in an 8" x 8" dish. Cook sugar, water, butter and cornstarch in a small saucepan until thick, and pour over peaches. Mix batter and spread over peach dish. Bake 1/2 hour until brown.
