I 1/4 pounds ground beef
1 package of taco seasoning
8 ounces shredded Mexican Cheese
6-8 hard taco shells
1/2 bag chili/cheese Fritoes
Small- Medium Head of lettuce, shredded
2-3 tomatoes, diced
8 ounces shredded cheddar cheese
Onions, diced(optional)

Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees.

Brown ground beef. While beef is browning, break the taco shells into pieces. Add the pieces along with the Fritoes to a large storage bag and seal. Crush chips into pieces, but not too fine. After meat is browned, add the taco seasoning using the directions on the package. Remove from heat and add 1 cup of Mexican cheese to beef mixture, stirring well. Add meat mixture to the bottom of a medium size casserole dish. Layer the crushed chips and more Mexican cheese on top. Bake for approximately 15 minutes (or until cheese is melted and chips are hot).

Remove from oven and layer the shredded lettuce, diced tomatoes, and diced onions (if desired). Top with the shredded cheddar cheese and some of the crushed chips.

Serve with other favorite toppings such as sour cream, salsa, or guacamole.

How much cheese added is personal preference. We like a lot of cheese with this meal.

Tortilla chips can be substituted for the taco shells.
