½ lb. white bread or rolls (that have gone a little stale)
4 eggs
½ cup flour
½ cup milk
6 Tbs. butter
½ cup cubed smoked bacon
½ Tbs. salt
½ Tbs. chopped parsley

Directions:
Directions:
Mix eggs and milk and pour over cubed bread. Let soak ½ hour. Fry bacon until crisp, melt butter, add parsley; and add to bread mixture. Add flour to this and mix well. With wet hands form round dumplings from mixture and roll them neatly in flour before placing them into salted boiling water. Cook about ½ hour.
