1 c butter, softened
2 c Sugar
6 Eggs
2 c Flour
1/2 tsp Orange Extract
3 Tbsp Orange Juice
1 Tbsp Lemon Juice
Zest of 2 Oranges *

* Zest is the finely grated out layer of the whole orange, lemon, or lime.

Orange Glaze:
2 c Confectioners Sugar
4 Tbsp Orange Juice
1/2 tsp Orange Extract

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Cream butter and sugar. Add eggs, one at a time, and beat well after each add.
Gently beat in remaining ingredients.
Bake in a greased and floured tube pan for 45 minutes (or until a toothpick is inserted and comes out clean).
Cool in pan for 10 minutes, turn out, and place top side up.
Pour glaze over warm cake, if desired.

First to sell at any bake sale. As an option, Mom would add a thin layer of toasted pecans in the middle or the bottom of the cake.
