French Toast Casserole Recipe

1 100z load of French Bread cut into 1 inch cubes (10 cups)
8 eggs
3 c. milk
3/4 tsp salt
4 tsp sugar
1 tsp vanilla
2 tsp cinnamon

Directions:
Directions:
Place bread into a greased 9X13 pan. Mix together eggs, milk, salt, sugar, and vanilla. Pour over bread. Cover and refrigerate for 8 hours or overnight. Remove from refrigerator 30 minutes before baking.
Dot casserole with 2 Tbsp butter.
Combine 3 Tbsp sugar and 2 tsp cinnamon. Sprinkle over the top.
Bake at 350 degrees fro 45 min-1 hour.
Serve warm with maple syrup or powdered sugar. Fresh fruit is a great side dish!

We serve this casserole on Christmas morning.The original recipe was given to me by my Uncle David and Aunt Connie Wells. It's a Wells family favorite.
