Caramel French Toast Recipe

1 stick butter
1 cup brown sugar
2 tbs Karo light corn syrup
1 loaf french bread, but into 1" pieces
6 eggs
1 tsp vanilla
1½cup milk
2 tsp cinnamon to taste
Mixed berries and whipped cream (optional)

Combine butter, brown sugar and Karo syrup in a saucepan over medium heat until it boils.

Pour into a 9x13 casserole pan. Slice french bread into 1" pieces. Lay on pan over caramel. Mix eggs, milk, and vanilla and pour over bread. Sprinkle cinnamon over top. Bake 300º for 1 hour.

Serve with mixed berries and whipped cream.

Makes 8 servings.
