Ingredients:  
Ingredients:  
Mix together in large saucepan:
2 quarts fruit (blackberries or peeled summer peaches)
1 cup sugar
2 tbsp cornstarch (bit more if using very ripe peaches)
Heat; add 1 tbsp butter, set aside

In large bowl, combine:
1 2/3 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 tbsp baking powder
3/4 tsp salt

Add:
1 cup milk and 1/2 cup melted butter
Lightly stir by hand to combine
Pour over warmed fruit, arranged in a large baking dish
Swirl a bit with spatula to show color

Bake at 350 degrees F for 30 minutes
