3½ C Black Beans, dried
1½ Medium Onion, diced
6 cloves Garlic
⅛ tsp. Chili powder
3 Jalapeno Peppers, diced
12 C Water
1 can Diced Tomatoes with puree
½ tsp. Salt

Directions:
Directions:
Combine all ingredients into a pot. Bring to boil. Let simmer for 1½ hours. Taste beans and add salt or other ingredients as needed. Cook until beans are at desired tenderness.

If you want it a bit saucier, add additional tomato juice. A little bit of beef bullion adds a nice touch.
