½ C shortening
1 C sugar
1 egg
½ C milk
1 ¾ C flour
½ t salt
½ t baking soda
½ C cocoa
1 t vanilla
½ C nuts (optional)
36 marshmallow (cut in halt)
Directions:
Directions:
Into a medium bowl, sift together flour, baking soda, salt and cocoa.
In a separate bowl, cream sugar, shortening and egg.
Add flour mixture and milk alternately into the creamed mixture.
Add vanilla.
Drop onto baking sheet by teaspoon.
Bake at 350° for 10-12 minutes.
Top with marshmallow halves, sticky side down.
Put back in oven for 2 minutes.
Cool and frost.
