2 cups mashed potatoes
4 eggs, beaten lightly
1/2 C shortening
2 Tbsp salt
1 C sugar
7 yeast cakes dissolved in water
1 C warm water
1 Tbsp sugar for yeast
3 C scalded milk (cooled)
12 cups flour

Directions:
Directions:
Cream shortening, sugar, salt, and potatoes together.
In a bowl add water, yeast and 1Tbsp sugar to dissolve.
Add dissolved yeast, milk and eggs to creamed shortening.
Add flour and mix thoroughly.
Let rise until double in size. Punch down dough and roll out and cut with doughnut cutter and let rise again.
Heat oil to 350 - 375 F
Cook in hot vegetable oil.

Glaze:
Mix 2 pkg powdered sugar, 1 cup water, and vanilla.
Glaze the spudnuts while still hot.
