2 eggs
¼ tsp. salt
¾ cup sugar
½ cup sifted all-purpose flour
1 tsp. melted shortening
1 tsp. almond extract
2 ⅔ cups shredded coconut
¼ cup chopped maraschino cherries
1 6-oz pkg. milk chocolate chips

Directions:
Directions:
Beat eggs and salt till frothy
gradually add sugar
beat till thick and lemon colored, approximately 5 minutes.
Stir in flour, shortening and almond extract.
Fold in cocoanut, chips and cherries.
Drop by rounded tsp. onto lightly greased cookie sheet
Bake at 325 °F for 12-15 minutes.
