½ plus ⅓ cup granulated sugar
½ cup veg. oil
½ can (15 oz.) pumpkin

1 cup all-purpose flour
1 tsp. baking powder
1 tsp. ground cinnamon
½ tsp. salt
½ tsp. baking soda

Directions:
Directions:
Preheat oven to 350º and grease 12 x 8 pan. Combine first 4 ingredients until light and fluffy. Sift together next 5 ingredients. Add the dry ingredients to the pumpkin mixture and mix at low speed until thoroughly combined and the batter is smooth. Pour the batter into the pan and smooth out evenly. Bake for 30 minutes and cool completely.
 

Cream Cheese Frosting

4 oz. cream cheese, softened
1/4 cup butter, softened
1 cup sifted confectioners' sugar
1/2 tsp. vanilla


Directions:
Directions:
Combine cream cheese and butter until smooth. Add sugar and mix until combined. Add vanilla and mix again. Frost completely cooled pumpkin bars.
