1 Lg Onion
1 lb Brussel Sprouts
1/4 c. butter
1 c. pecan or walnut pieces
1 tsp. salt
1/2 tsp. butter

Directions:
Directions:
Cut onion in half and thinly slice. Cut brussel sprouts in half and cut each half crosswise into thin slices. Place vegetables in separate plastic bags, seal and chill 8 hours. Melt butter in a large heavy skillet over medium to high heat. Add pecans or walnuts and sauté 5 minutes or until toasted and fragrant. Remove pecans from skillet. Add onions to skillet; cook stirring after 15 minutes or until caramel colored. Add pecans and brussel sprouts and cook 3 minutes or until heated. Sprinkle with salt and pepper to taste.
