1 small head of lettuce chopped into bite size pieces
1 c. celery
c. green onions, chopped
1 can water chestnuts (optional)
2 c. frozen green peas, do not cook
6 hard boiled eggs, sliced
1 lb. bacon, cooked and crumbled
2 c. grated cheddar cheese

2 c. mayonnaise
2 Tbsp. sugar
tsp. garlic powder
1 tsp. Lawry's seasoning salt

Mix dressing by combining ingredients.
In a large bowl or 9x13 pan, layer the salad as follows: lettuce, celery, green onion, water chestnuts, frozen peas, hard boiled eggs, and bacon. Then spread the dressing on top making sure the dressing is spread over the salad so that it completely covers it and seals the edges. Sprinkle the grated cheese on top.
Cover tightly with plastic wrap.
Refrigerate overnight.
