Do not use metal - do not refrigerate
Day 1 & 2 - do nothing
Day 3 - put starter in glass bowl, stir with a wooden spoon
Day 4 & 5 - do nothing
Day 6 - Add 1 cup milk, sugar & flour, mix w wooden spoon
Day 7 - do nothing
Day 8 - stir with a wooden spoon
Day 9 - do nothing
Day 10 - add 1 cup milk, sugar & flour. Mix w wooden spoon
*Take 3 one cup measurements and place in separate containers. Keep one for yourself to start again, and give the other 2 to friends.
*Add to your original starter:
3 beaten eggs
1 cup oil**
½ c. milk
1 tsp vanilla
* In a separate bowl, mix together
2 cups flour
1 cup sugar
1 ½ tsp baking powder
1 large or 2 small pkgs instant vanilla pudding
½ tsp soda
½ tsp salt
2 tsp cinnamon
*Add dry ingredient to starter and blend well. Pour batter into 2 well greased loaf pans. Bake at 325° for 1 hour. Sprinkle additional cinnamon/sugar over hot loaves.
You can add just about anything to this recipe.
