1 head of washed, torn lettuce
1 can english peas, drained
1 thinly sliced sweet onion
1 c. (or more) shredded cheddar cheese
1/2 c. crumbled cooked bacon (she does not use prepacked precooked bacon)


Dressing:
1 pint Hellmans Mayonnaise
1/4 c. Apple Cider Vinegar (guestimate as you want it to a thicker dressing consistency)
1-2 T. sugar to taste
Salt and Pepper to Taste

Directions:
Directions:
In a bowl mix together dressing. Layer each ingredient in a bowl. Spread dressing on top. Cover and refrigerate 24 hours before serving.

This is my Uncle Holt and Uncle Randal Tapps favorite thing that Mom makes. They request that she make it at all family gatherings.
