2 packages active dry yeast
1 c milk
1 c water
c oil
c honey
1 tbsp salt
1 egg, room temperature
4 to 4 c whole wheat flour

Directions:
Directions:
Stir together 2 cups flour and yeast. Heat milk, water, oil, honey, and salt over low hear until warm (125 to 130). Add liquid ingredients to flour- yeast mixture. Beat until smooth, about 3 minutes on a medium speed of an electric mixer or 300 strokes by hand.

Beat in egg. Stir in whole wheat flour to make a moderately stiff dough. Turn onto lightly floured surface. Cover with bowl and let rest for 10 minutes. Knead until smooth and satiny, 5 to 10 minutes. Cover and let rest 20 minutes.

Divide dough in half. Roll each half into a 7x14 inch rectangle. Roll up from the narrow side, pressing roll into dough at each turn. Press ends to seal and fold under loaf. Place in greased 4x8 loaf pans. Brush with oil. let rise in warm place (80 to 90 degrees) until doubled, about 1 to 1 hours.

Bake in 400 oven, 35 to 45 minutes. Cover top with foil to prevent overbrowning. Remove immediately from pans and brush tops with melted butter or oil.
