2 c. Flour
1 Tbsp. Baking Powder
½ tsp. Salt
½ c. Shortening
¾ c. Milk

Preheat the oven to 450º
In a large bowl sift together the Flour, Baking Powder and Salt. Cut in Shortening with a fork until mix looks like coarse crumbs. Pour Milk into the mixture while stirring until the dough is soft and pulls away from the sides of the bowl. Place the dough on a lightly floured surface and sprinkle with flour. Roll out the dough until about ½ in. thick and cut with a floured biscuit cutter. Place biscuits on an ungreased baking sheet and bake until golden brown (about 10 minutes)
