8 tablespoons unsalted butter
2 cups yellow onions, minced
2 tablespoons garlic, minced
2 teaspoons chipotle pepper, minced
1 cup ketchup
1 cup fresh orange juice
¼ cup honey
2 teaspoons Dijon mustard
2 tablespoons cider vinegar
2 teaspoons Worcestershire sauce
2 teaspoons dried thyme
½ teaspoon ground allspice
½ teaspoon salt
2 whole chickens cut into pieces

Directions:
Melt butter in saucepan, add onion and sauté for 1 minute. Add garlic and cook for 4 minutes. Stir in all other ingredients except the chicken. Simmer until thick, about 10 minutes. Let cool to room temperature. Marinade the chicken in the sauce for at least 2 hours or overnight. Grill the chicken for about 25-30 minutes and baste with the marinade while cooking.
