12 ounces pasta (macaroni, penne, farfalle)
3 tablespoons flour
¼ cup butter
2 tablespoons Dijon mustard
½ teaspoon salt
½ teaspoon pepper
8 ounces cream cheese
2 cups milk
2 cups shredded sharp cheddar cheese
Topping
2 tablespoons butter, melted
1 cup panko bread crumbs
3 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley

Directions:

Cook pasta according to package directions. Melt butter and blend with flour, Dijon mustard, salt and pepper in a sauce pan over medium heat to form a roux. Add cream cheese and milk. Stir over medium heat until thickened. Add shredded cheese. Place pasta in casserole dish and blend with cheese sauce. Cook at 350ºF for 35-45 minutes. Stir together topping ingredients and place on casserole during the last 10-15 minutes of cooking. Broil topping to brown as desired.
