3 ½ - 4 lb chicken pieces
½ cup flour
2 ½ tsp salt
¼ tsp pepper
½ cup shortening
1 ½ cups water
3 tsp onion powder
¾ cup barbeque sauce
½ cup light molasses
1 - 9oz can sliced pineapple
4 tsp corn starch
1 green pepper, cut into strips

Directions:
Directions:
Combine flour, salt and pepper. Dry chicken, so very little flour sticks. Add chicken to coat. Brown chicken in shortening approximately 5 minutes on each side; drain.

In saucepan, combine water, onion, barbeque, and molasses. heat and add to chicken. Cover and simmer for 40 minutes. Remove chicken from pan and keep warm.

Combine corn starch with juice from canned pineapple. Gradually stir into pan drippings, adding more water if necessary. Add green pepper and fruit; cover and cook 5 minutes. Serve sauce over chicken with hot fluffy rice.
