1 c. butter, softened
1/2 c. sugar
1/2 t. salt
1 egg yolk
1 t. vanilla
2 1/4 cps. flour
1/2 c. dried cranberries, finely chopped
1/2 c. finely chopped pecans
2 t. finely shredded orange peel

Directions:
Directions:
Beat butter, sugar and salt. Beat in egg yolk and vanilla. Beat in as much of the flour as you can. Stir in any remaining flour. Stir in cranberries, pecans and orange peel.

Divide in half. Shape each into 9 inch long roll. Wrap in plastic wrap. Chill 3 hours.

With serrated knife, cut rolls into 1/4 inch slices. Place slices 1 inch apart on ungreased cookie sheet. Bake 350 for 8-10 min or until edges are firm and lightly browned. Cool for 1 min. on cookie sheet.
