Sauce:
1 lb. Italian sausage & 3/4 lb. ground chuck
1/2 c. minced onion
28 oz. can crushed tomatoes
12 oz. tomato paste
12 oz. tomato sauce
1/2 c. water
2 T. sugar
1 1/2 t. dried basil, 1 t. Italian seasoning, salt, pepper
2 T. fresh chopped parsley (or 1 T. dried)

Cheese mixture:
32 oz. ricotta cheese
2 eggs
12 oz. mozzarella cheese
3/4 c. Parmesan cheese
12 lasagna noodles

Directions:
Directions:
Brown the sausage, ground chuck and onion. Combine with rest of the sauce ingredients and simmer on low for 1 1/2 hours. Cook lasagna noodles as directed on package and drain. Combine all cheese mixture ingredients in a separate bowl. Spread 1 1/2 c. of the sauce in a 9 x 13 pan. Arrange 6 noodles (double layer) over top. Spread with 1/2 of the cheese mixture. Top with 1/3 of the mozzarella. Top with
1 1/2 c. sauce and 1/4 c. Parmesan. Repeat, ending with mozzarella and Parmesan. Cover with foil and bake 25 minutes at 375. Remove foil and bake another 25 minutes. Cool for 15-20 minutes before slicing.
