1 cups sugar
1 cups all purpose flour
cup melted butter, cooled
2 eggs
1 teaspoon almond flavoring
pinch salt
slivered almonds, optional

Directions:
Directions:
Stir all ingredients together except almonds and pour into a foil-lined iron skillet. Sprinkle with slivered almonds and/or coarse sugar. Bake at 350 for 30-35 minutes.

This can be made as a Cinnamon Vanilla Skillet Cake by substituting vanilla for the almond flavoring and replacing the almonds and/or sugar on top with cinnamon sugar.
