cup molasses
⅓cup firmly packed brown sugar
1 tsp cinnamon
1tsp ginger
tsp salt
tsp soda
4 cups milk
⅔ cup yellow corn meal
2 Tbsp unsalted butter
Serve with vanilla ice cream

Directions:

Preheat oven to 350 butter deep 1 quart baking dish.
Combine first 7ingredients and 2 1/2 cups milk in deep saucepan and whisk until blended. Whisk in cornmeal cook over med heatstirring constantly until mixture bubbles and becomes stiff. Remove from heat add butter and remaining milkstir until smooth. Turn into baking dish and bake until center is slightly soft.about 1 hours.
Pudding will continue to firm are it cools serve warm with ice cream.
