4 cups water
1/2 teaspoon salt
1 cup quick-cooking grits
2 cups (8 ounces) shredded Cheddar cheese
1/2 cup butter or margarine
1/2 cup milk
2 eggs, beaten

Directions:
Directions:
Bring water and salt to a boil; stir in grits. Cook grits according to package directions. Remove from heat; add cheese and butter, stirring until melted. Stir in milk.

Add a small amount of hot grits to eggs, stirring well; stir egg mixture into remaining grits. Pour grits into a lightly greased 2 1/2-quart casserole. Bake at 350 for 40 minutes or until set.
