Ingredients:
Ingredients:
1 stick butter
2 c. white sugar
4 T unsweetened cocoa powder
1/2 c. milk
1T vanilla
1/2 c. crunchy peanut butter
3 c instant oats (give or take)
wax paper or parchment paper

Directions:
Directions:
Melt butter in a saucepan, add milk, sugar and cocoa powder. Bring to a boil and let this mixture boil for atleast 2-3 minutes. Stir constantly so mixture does not burn.

Next take off the heat, add the vanilla and peanut butter. Stir until well mixed.

Start adding oatmeal 1/2 cup at a time, stirring until well mixed. When the mixture gets stiff and not shiny, time to put on the wax paper in spoonfuls. This should be still runny enough to spread out on the wax paper but not so stiff it mounds.

This takes some practice and do not do if extremely humid, the cookies will not set up. If all goes well they will become hard enough to peel off the wax paper and put into bags or tupperware.

Personal Notes:
Favorite cookie of both my sister and my boys. Easy to make and they ship well (having sent them to my sissy every year for her birthday and Christmas).

When Derek was deployed I would send them in his treat boxes.
