½ cup granulated sugar
½ cup brown sugar
1 cup shortening or butter
1 egg
1 tsp. vanilla
2 cups flour
½ tsp. salt
1 tsp. baking soda
1 tsp. cream of tartar
Sugar for dipping
Cinnamon for dipping

Directions:
Directions:
Cream together sugars and shortening; add egg and vanilla. Mix together flour, salt, baking soda and cream of tartar. Stir into creamed mixture. Form into small balls and roll in cinnamon and sugar. Place on cookie sheet.

Bake at 350 º for 10-12 minutes until lightly golden on edges.
