7 lbs sliced cucumbers
1 c pickling lime

Syrup:
2 qts apple cider vinegar
8 c sugar
1 T pickling salt

1/2 box pickling spices

Directions:
Directions:
Mix 1 cup pickling lime in 2 gal water. Soak the sliced cucumbers for 24 hrs. in the lime water, stirring occasionally.

After the 24 hr. soak, rinse well in cold water 3 times.

Cover the cucumbers with cold water and ice. Soak an additional 3 hrs.

Drain water of cucumbers and add to boiling syrup. Add 1/2 box pickling spices, boil mixture for 35 minutes.

Jar and seal
